Buffet areas vary in size depending on the serving style of the caterer. As a rule of thumb, a  basic single sided
buffet requires 50 square feet per 40 guests (one 8 foot long buffet table). Double sided buffets and single sided
buffets that are staffed at the rear require 70 square feet per guests. If your incorporating other stations into
your buffet line (
Coffee, desert, soft drink, ETC) you may need additional buffet space.

Buffet Stations require approximately 100 square feet per station.

Each caterer has their own method of presenting their foods. Alway ask your a caterer the method of serving
and how many tables and sizes they  will need. Some caterers have their own tables. Check with the caterer on
exactly what they are providing and what they expect you to provide.

Many caterers request a small tent for final prep and to stage buffet and plated serving. Caterers tents are
usually either a 15X15 or 20X20. The same tent can be used for cleanup.

Although not part of the party rental, make sure you establish the power needs that the caterer will require.
Caterers that are familiar with tented events usually minimize their power needs. Caterers that are less familiar
with tented events may have equipment that depends on electricity rather than propane or sterno's. We have
experienced caterers that have come on site that just planned to plug into any available extension cord or
outlet. This can cause havoc with power the day of your event.

The party below incorporated  dinner serving, coffee and a desert station in to a single sided buffet. The caterer
required a small tent for final prep and clean up.
