
In addition to guest seating and wedding party seating there are other tables areas that are commonly
placed under a tent. Even though these areas are fairly small, they do take up space and must be
accounted for.
Common table areas:
- Gift - 50-75 Square Feet
- Receiving- 50-75 Square Feet
If your tight on space the receiving area and gift table can be a joint table.
- Cake or Desert- 25-50 Square Feet
If your tight on space a cake table can be placed on the dance floor until cutting, desert areas can be
incorporated into a buffet area.
- Coffee Station- 50-75 Square Feet
- Soft Drink- 50-75 Square Feet
Soft Drink and Coffee Station can be incorporated into the buffet area.
- Cocktail- 150 to 600 Square Feet depending on guest count
Cocktail areas are usually a standing area with multiple cocktail tables (30" Round Table at 42" hight) to hold
drinks or Hors devours.
- Hors devours - 50 to 75 Square Feet
- Trash- 25 to 50 Square Feet
- Bottle and Can Return- 25 to 50 Square Feet
- Dinnerware Return- 50 to 75 Square Feet
Trash, bottle and dinnerware ares can be incorporated into one common area to save space.
The reception below used a receiving table, Hors devours and a cake table located on the dance floor. This
reception was a plaited event with wait staff.
