Tents are primarily made out of two types of fabrics. Translucent fabric (Vistabay Classic Sail) lets some
light through the fabric. Block-out fabric (Vistabay Classic) blocks all light from coming through.  Large
tents made of block-out fabric are very dark underneath, even on a sunny day a block-out style tent
usually needs a lighting system. Using a translucent tent for daytime events can preclude the need for a
lighting system.

Most tent manufactures and installers can agree that the winch and strap method of securing a tent is
the most reliable. Ropes can stench and knots loosen. This lessens the wind a tent can withstand.
Sunshine Tent and Party has gone through the great experience of converting completely to the winch
and strap method. Over the last 12 years we have never had a large tent go down due to wind.
