Tented weddings allow the time and flexibility to have decorative themes that are
virtually impossible to create in a banquet hall. Most wedding tents are white, this
allows color and decorations to stand out.

Themes can range from using color combinations to elaborate decorations. Theme
parties such as a luau or a mid-evil feast are good examples of bringing the outdoors,
indoors. Natural materials with decorative lighting looks great. The combination of
decoration, food and entertainment can make for a unique and memorable event.

Decorations can damage tents! Discuss decorating with us. We will let you know the
do’s and don’ts of tent decorating. Paper and fabric dyes can run and cause stains,
tape and staples should never be used on any part of a tent. Choose decorations
that are moisture resistant. If you do attach anything to a tent, use non-dyed natural
twine or plastic wire zip ties. When you remove decorations use wire snips instead of
scissors or utility knifes. This will help prevent accidental damage to a tent. Never allow
combustible products like silly string. They can damage tents and be a fire hazard.

The tented event usually is heavily influenced by the time of year and the landscape
that surrounds the tent. Many planners and decorators will attempt to bring the
surroundings into the tented area.
Linens and chair treatments are a great way to
bring colors and textures into a tent.

Most caterers offer linen packages with their food services. These packages are usually
limited in colors, sizes and designs. If you are putting together a linen package, make
sure you clarify what tables are to be covered and how they are to be covered.
Head tables, banquet tables, DJ tables should be skirted. Make it clear what length
linens you want for your dinner tables. If you want floor length linens make sure the
linens are the style you want. Using a square linen on a round table allows the tips of
the linen to touch the floor. This is called tip to tip floor length. This may or may not be
the style you have in mind.

Their are linen and decorating companies that specialize in linens (we use Gala LTD).
Some linen companies offer free decorating consultations. An experienced full service
linen company can help you put together a unique look for your party. Be cautious of
mail order companies! Quality can be very low with these services. When shipping
costs are considered, any possible savings may not be worth trusting that your linens
will come in correct and on time.

Whether your renting linens from us or a caterer, you will most likely be held responsible
for damaged or missing linens. Most linen damage is from candle wax and cigarettes.
Use caution when using candles, most candle wax damage is caused when blowing
out the flame. You can prevent most wax damage by using glass enclosures for
candles. If your not limiting cigarette smoking, make sure you have suitable ash trays.
Missing linens are usually due to someone mistakenly throwing them out. Just put dirty
linens in clear bags that are marked. Have a designated area away from trash to
store the bags.
